Sonia Mª Pedreira de Pinho

Sonia Pedreira is a managing partner of the Madrid, Lisbon and Barcelona offices of Odgers Berndtson. Her search practice covers virtually all industries and disciplines with a special emphasis on general management, IT ManagementIT Leadership, human resources and sales and marketing, particularly in the consumer products, e-Business, energy and utilities and financial services industries. She recruits chief executive officers, general managers and other senior positions. She also has extensive experience in management consultancy for top management. Sonia entered the executive search profession in Spain and Portugal in 1985 and was responsible for opening the Lisbon office in 1990, working since then in both countries. Previously, she was a business school professor and management consultant. Earlier in her career, she served as human resources director of the Swedish Group AGA and was responsible for the recruitment of top management as well as human resources practices for this group in Brazil. Sonia studied social science at the University Bahia-Brazil and received a Ph.D. in sociology and political science from Madrid University. In addition, she has completed specialized courses in organization development and consultancy.
