London office
Sam Colt joined Odgers Berndtson in 2007, based in the London office. She focuses on senior executive and board director recruitment across charities and arts and is the UK Head of the International Development and Fundraising Practice.
Sam's background encompasses the public and private sectors. She joined Odgers from a leading specialist media and entertainment search firm where she worked at the public/ private interface, developing the digital media practice and establishing an arts/not-for-profit practice. Prior to this she worked for a major public sector search firm again often moving people cross-sector. Previously, Sam spent five years running her own search business specialising in digital media and technology.
Sam started her recruitment career working for a leading financial recruitment business prior to which she spent a brief period in the City. She graduated from Leeds University with an honours degree in Economics and Accounting.
Arts & heritage executive search, covering the placement of key figures in the burgeoning international cultural field, is an area in which Odgers Berndtson excels.
Fundraising and development recruitment is becoming more and more competitive, as fundraising plays an increasingly significant role in all not-for-profit organisations.
