S-J Leatherdale

S-J Leatherdale joined Odgers Interim in July 2006, she is a Partner in the Education Practice and is based in the London office.  She works closely with colleagues in the search practice to provide a comprehensive recruitment service in the Education, Children and Adults sectors. The demands of this market are varied ranging from the provision of Education Partners to Skills specialists, and S-J recruits across the full range of corporate roles as well as Programme and Project managers/Directors. She has also been involved extensively within the Safeguarding & Leaving Care arena as well as Fostering / Adoption and the SEN policy.

S-J has eight years commercial recruitment experience across a variety of sectors including financial services. S-J started her career in the UK before moving overseas to work in Hong Kong and across Asia Pacific. On returning to London, S-J broadened her recruitment skills by taking on a Human Resources role in Local Government before being tempted back into recruitment by Odgers Berndtson.

S-J grew up in Tokyo and was educated at the International School of the Sacred Heart.  She gained a full tennis scholarship in West Palm Beach Community College, USA. She has a good command of Japanese and considers oriental culture to be a big part of her life. S-J has one daughter and her other interests include a continued passion for sport, travel and for current affairs.
