Robert was formerly with Norman Broadbent, where he was head of the industrial and healthcare practices. His initial career spanned over ten years in marketing and sales in major FMCG organisations, culminating in senior international roles.
Robert moved into general management in the early 1990's and was MD of a number of service sector businesses in healthcare and security and latterly of divisions of organisations providing outsourced support services to the UK public and private sectors.
Robert has an MA (joint honours in modern history and modern languages) from Oxford University.
