Kevin Trainor

Kevin Trainor joined Odgers Berndtson in 2011 from Heidrick & Struggles’ Tokyo office. For the past 8 years Kevin has focused on searches for IBD/Advisory and Private Equity professionals on the investment side.

Having moved to Japan in 2002, he began his career in the recruitment industry in 2004 with a boutique search firm. Kevin has successfully placed Heads of IBD and multiple advisory professionals from Product Heads and Coverage Team Heads and MD level through VP levels. In the 2009 AsiaMoney headhunters poll Kevin was ranked first for IBD recruiters in Tokyo, having climbed from third in 2008.

Kevin was raised in Ireland and has also spent time in the US, as well as the UK and Japan. He earned a BA in History and Political Science from University College Dublin and went on to complete a Masters in Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics.
