Growing Demand for Finance Officers

Marcus Beale, Partner in the CFO Practice at Odgers Berndtson discusses with the Yorkshire Post the increase in demand for finance directors in the Yorkshire area.

Recruitment firm Odgers Berndtson’s Leeds office had seen requests for finance directors rise by 35 per cent in the last year. Last year Odgers placed 40 finance directors and chief finance officers (CFOs). By July this year the firm had placed 28, with a high demand for more. Marcus points out that:

“Ever since the credit crunch began at the end of last year we have seen an increased demand from clients for finance directors with the experience and stamina to take them through this challenging time.”
