Our client is looking to find a Sales Director / Customer Development Director to take responsibility for this major portfolio and to provide succession planning to the top Sales role.The Role
To drive the total customer agenda and take full strategic and operational day-to-day responsibility for the development and implementation of the sales strategy in all channels in the UK
To develop an outstanding network of senior customer contacts that will benefit the business in the delivery of both short term and long term strategic objectives
As a member of the customer leadership team, work across all channels to build expertise in their approach to world class Customer Development
The Person
Will be an accomplished and intuitive commercial professional, who will immediately impact the business and add real value, through both their leading edge approach to the UK trade and their inspirational leadership around strategy and team management
Will have c15 years’ plus experience, that will include time spent in a classic blue chip fmcg/consumer products company, recognised as best-in-class in its approach to sales
Will have vision and flair, with a real grounding in both strategic and operational sales excellence, a strong trading capability and a prized understanding of and network in the UK trade. He/she will be particularly skilful around trade engagement and the development of customer relationships, category management and leadership and shopper insight and understanding, and in the delivery of successful in-store execution plans.
