
The company is a London Stock Exchange listed construction business. Due to recent poor performance in its existing markets, the company instigated a Strategic Review which focused the business on housing regeneration, strategic land trading and commercial property development. The Group had already sold a number of non-core businesses and was well advanced in the process of divesting all remaining non-core activities. As a result of these changes, the incumbent Chief Executive decided that, with immediate effect, he would resign from the Board and leave the Group.
The task was to search for a successor within strict timeframes during a period of change and uncertainty for the organisation.
