Chief Executive, Biofuels

The company is a Natural Resources company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.  At the time of the recruitment, the business was reducing the diversity of its operations with a view to listing on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market.  One of the company’s primary strategic objectives is to become a leading biofuels manufacturer and distributor in Africa.

The task was to fill the newly created position of Chief Executive, Biofuels Division. The appointee could be drawn from a number of industries including feedstock management, process plant development and operation, and fuels distribution. In addition, the role required a significant amount of time to be spent visiting the Division’s operations throughout Africa. The successful candidate was therefore required to have experience of working outside the UK in challenging environments, most likely in the Third World and ideally in Africa.
