We believe we have a responsibility to grow our business, to maximise opportunities for innovation and development that benefit all our employees. That responsibility also carries a duty of care to our employees, clients and the wider community in which we operate.
A key factor in the success of the Odgers team is that we recognise, and are responsive to, the physical and emotional wellbeing needs of our people, including the need for a healthy work/life balance.
Diversity is core to our ethos. A breadth of talent, opinion, judgement and experience within any organisation enables it to be more creative and to challenge existing thinking, delivering more innovatively and gaining competitive advantage. Our commitment to diversity is at every level of our own organisation. We value diversity in ethnicity, gender, language, age, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, political persuasion, experience and education. We aim to ensure that employees are treated fairly, evaluated objectively and enabled to succeed.
We also believe that, through our people, we can exert a positive force for good in the wider community. As a firm we are committed to important initiatives that encompass environmental, pro bono/charity and diversity. In 2010 for instance, we recycled 24,890kg of confidential waste. This amounted to the equivalent of 244 trees and 31,210kg of CO2.
We encourage all members of staff to become proactively involved in our programmes and support them financially and in other ways enhance their own initiatives. As a firm, we endeavour to implement any practical measure which can minimise the environmental damage of our activities.
